Data Forensics Examiner - Project Manage, New York
 
We are a specialized boutique Data Forensics company that covers the full lifecycle of data analysis, from the early stages of identification and collection, through to management, analysis, reporting and production.  Our engagements typically require working with large volumes of electronically stored, structured and unstructured information, and the application of advanced forensics and data analytics.  We work with clients across a wide variety of industry’s (including law firms, corporations, and Government), supporting investigations, litigations and proactive risk detection.
 
Your responsibilities will include
  • Manage end-to-end Data Forensic and Discovery engagements
  • Manage all aspects of project lifecycle from client onboarding to completion
  • Utilize pre-existing industry experience of eDiscovery software, interacting with clients directly to provide any required support in relation to the engagement
  • Work closely with all team members to ensure critical deadlines are met and engagement quality is at a high standard
  • Taking a significant role in the development of the junior team, sharing knowledge and supporting their development
  • Use problem solving approaches to overcome unexpected issues, both technical and operational
  • Participate on business development activities and maintain relationships with the clients
 
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working with common eDiscovery and forensic software products, including Cellebrite, Oxygen, EnCase, Elcomsoft, Nuix, RCA and Brainspace
  • Expertise processing and analyzing large volumes of unstructured and structured data
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach to the delivery and implementation of projects as well as the ability to build strong relationships with your teams and clients
  • Exposure to SQL programming and design of relational databases
  • Exposure to IT infrastructure and operating systems, both cloud based and on dedicated hardware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and able to build strong relationships
 
Desired attributes
  • Forensic software certifications (ENCE, CCE, ACE, CEECS or similar)
  • Strong market knowledge in any sector
  • Law firm experience or demonstrable experience working with lawyers is a plus
  • Intellectually rigorous, with extremely strong analytical skills and a passion for data
  • Seeking high levels of ownership and responsibility
